Welcome to my new blog. The first thing up will be the Oscar watch. Some of my friends have had an Oscar pool for years. We make a guess in ALL categories (even the tough ones) and have a scoring system weighted to give more points for the big categories (Best Actor, Actress, Director, Film etc.). The movie viewing has begun, based on the Golden Globe nominees. If we have a good turnout, then we have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. If we have a small turnout then it is winner take all. We do not give any points for fashion critiques, although they are welcome.
More on that later.
As a corporate scriptwriter, I’ve been dreaming about that big spec screenplay for years. A screenwriting class at IFP may get me out of Procrastination Place and on to a search for an agent. I’ll keep you posted.
Creating history programs for corporate and organizational anniversaries is something I’d love to do more of as I do less of the other programs that pay the bills. That is a passion for me, and this blog may serve to drive more new customers in my direction. Fingers crossed (hard to type that way but hey…)
Gardening is a spring, summer, fall passion. I’ll share my successes and failures and look for advice from any Master Gardeners out there.
I currently have no plans to air dirty laundry – although that may change depending upon the upcoming election process.
